CALIFORNIA

Two posts in one day it must be a slow day at work. This weekend my friend Krystal and I went to California for work and play. We had to go there for a weekend training for the mentoring program we are starting for utah foster children. (A little background info: we have been involved with a summer camp Royal Family Kids Camp for foster children for about 10 years and this mentoring program is an extention of the camp we have been selected to be the directors of this program and are so excited to get it up and going) Since we share the same birthday we decided to also turn this into a celebration weekend for us filled with shopping at one of our favorite malls South Coast Plaza, dinner at Claim Jumper and a trip to the beach. It was a really nice getaway. In between our classes we snuck in some fun. At claim jumper I told Krystal we totally tried to eat like men we went all out and left barely able to freakin walk! This picture does not do it justice but that biscuit was HUGE and delicious. On our last night we headed over to Newport Beach and hung out by the water for awhile and then ate at Ruby's on the end of the peir. We sat on the top of restaurant and watched people fish off of the peir it was fun! Thanks for the fun weekend Krissy I always have so much fun with you. You made laugh non-stop and let me talk non-stop and I loved it thanks. I am so excited to start this program with you it is going to be a lot of hard work but so worth it! Love Ya!

I Love Birthdays!

Yeah! I LOVE Birthdays! I just turned 24 on September 11th I can't believe I am 24 man does time fly! I had an awesome Birthday Week (you should always celebrate in "week style" especially as you get older it is just way more fun) Calogero and I actually give each other Birthday Months; for one month you get to make the decisions for pretty much everything. Where to eat, what to watch on t.v., which movie to rent, who has to turn the lights out it is the greatest I would suggest it to all! Calogero made me an awesome dinner on Monday, I had an great Birthday lunch with my work at Romas on Wednesday, dinner with Shane and Ashlee on Thursday at Texas Roadhouse (I LOVE Steak just to let ya know) We had a lot of fun, but I always have tons of fun with these two! Thank you Shane and Ashlee for a fun night and I loved my card and gift! They got me the cutest / yummiest card ever. It was a Mrs. Fields Cookie Card. On Thursday the actual B-Day took place and it was so nice. I got a fun surprise from my brother Matthew at work he brought me a huge balloon bouquet with the cutest turtle and the sweetest card thank you buddy. Then I went to my Grandpas house with my family and opened presents. We did a progressive dinner. Dinner at P.F. Changs and dessert at the Cheesecake Factory it was so good! Here are some fun Pics.

Calogero got me a bunch of great stuff but I am so excited for the Jason Mraz tickets he got me I love me some Mraz! Thanks Babe! I had the greatest Birthday this year thank you soooo much Calogero, Mom, Dad, Andrew, Grandpa and Matthew! I seriously felt so loved and special on my birthday thank you to everyone who called, texted or emailed me a birthday wish it means a lot.
I would like to send out a special Happy Birthday wish to Brooke and Krystal I hope your day was awesome and filled with fun and much love! I love ya Happy Birthday!

LAGOON!

Ok so I have not been to Lagoon since like middle school and I have been really wanting to check it out lately especially since I heard there were a bunch of new rides. Well I went to Lagoon this Saturday with Ashlee as her stand in husband for a work party and I was not disapointed. We had a blast! We got there around Noon and rode almost everything by 2:00, well you see we had this plan to stick around till dark so could ride everything at night too. We thought we wouldn't make it but little did we know that if you have a friend that loves riding the same rides 5 or more times over and over again you can make it to almost close at Lagoon! (Sorry I had to steal pictures from Lagoons website to spice up this post because I was way to lazy to carry my camera around all day.) Anyway if you go to Lagoon anytime soon I would like to suggest the space scrambler it is a simple ride that makes me laugh hysterically the whole time. I would ride it like 20 times if I could but 5 was the max we hit. Also they have a new ride the Spider, way fun too. Anyway Lagoon was a BLAST and I would totally go again so let me know if you need a ride buddy! Ashlee thank you for taking me I had soooo much fun with you. Also I have to say I was pretty brave for most of the day sorry about the one solo ride you had to take. (For some reason when I was younger I was fearless but as I have been getting older the wuss has been coming out in me, but I am working on it building back up my bravery. Has this happened to anyone else?) I would be honored to be your stand in husband anytime! Much Love!

Labor Day Weekend!

I love long weekends I look forward to them so very much! So we didn't have a lot planned this weekend just watching the first Utes game of the season with some friends (Shane and Ashlee of course) and maybe do some fly fishing and camping. Well we did it all! We met Calogero's parents up in Midway on Sunday and went fishing on the Provo and then set up camp. (Bad idea there was a HUGE storm!) It started raining at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday and didn't stop untill about 9:00a.m. Monday Morning and even then it only stopped long enough for us to break down camp and then the down pour started all over again. Here is a picture of Calogero cooking our dinner under the trailer because it was raining so hard. I was laughing so hard when I went out to help him.
I experienced fly fishing for the first time and loved it! Calogero has been fly fishing for years and I usually just hang out and watch, but I am more of a do-er than a watcher so I gave it a try and it rocks. Once my feet and legs went numb in the river I was good to go. I had a ton of fun babe thanks for teaching me I can't wait to go out again. I love this picture of Calogero casting I think it looks so cool. So as we were driving home I took these pictures of it snowing in September I was not pleased to say the least. Sorry for the bad quality we were driving. You can totally tell this is my first time posting pictures they are all over the freakin place sorry folks I will get better with time. Sorry for the lengthy post just think of it as making up for the lack of posting. Well that's about it for Labor Day Weekend for me hope you all had a nice break!
