Mothers Day, Happy Birthday Calogero, and Welcome Home From the Phillipines!

Sorry I haven't blogged FOREVER! I unfortunately haven't been up to much exciting that is until last weekend. We had Mothers Day (I LOVE You MOM!) Calogero's 26th Birthday! Calogero's Dad's Birthday! And my brothers Andrew and Matthew came home from their 2 week missions trip to the Philippines. So get ready for a long catch up post, sorry.
Calogero turned 26 on Sunday May 10th (Happy Birthday Babe!) he had an awesome birthday weekend even though he had to share it with Mothers Day this year. Friday we went and saw Wolverine (thanks Shane and Ash), Saturday Shane took Calogero golfing at Wasatch and then we did dinner at Porcupine Grill. I also gave Calogero all of his birthday stuff on Saturday. As you can see from the picture there are some goldfish included in his birthday gifts. Why you ask? Let me tell you. If you have had a conversation with Calogero in the past 3 years you have no doubt heard how badly he wants a dog! Well this year I said lets get one for your birthday! (I'm not really ready but I can't take the dog emails, and photos of possible pets for us any longer so I thought lets do this it will be fun!) Well surprise surprise Calog said no so as a joke I got him a back-up pet to fill in until he's ready. So Stew and Stanley became part of our family on Saturday and then both passed away by Sunday. (Isn't it funny how God made a creature with such a short life span, alive on Saturday floating on the top of the bowl by Sunday night!)

Mother's Day was really nice. Calogero and I went to Church on Sunday morning with my Mom and Dad and heard a great sermon from the pastors wife. Then we went to lunch with my Mom, Dad, and Grandpa. My brothers were both in the Philippines but since my Mother had her favorite child with her it was still a GREAT Mother's Day! Then later that day we did dinner with Vita and Pino to celebrate Mothers Day and Birthdays all at once. It was a great day but I ate way to much.

Andrew and Matthew came home from the Philippines on Tuesday. They went with Collide School of Ministry where both of them are students. This trip was to minister to the people of the Philippines, but I know that each of them were also really touched by the love and graciousness they were greeted with. They had an amazing time but I missed them and am so glad they are home! They sent us update videos while they gone you should check them out: go to http://www.youtube.com/ and then search under CollideSOM and their videos will pop up. Oh yeah so you know how pretty much all of your shoes, jeans, and bags say: MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES? Well when orders don't get shipped out they go to this market and are sold to locals for crazy cheap prices. My brothers got True Religion Jeans for $20, Diesel and Lacosta shoes for $15 and Coach bags $30 and not knock offs the real thing, Jealous! Just thought I would share that. Good luck with finals this week you two Love YA!

Well there is my update but there will be more soon!

Happy Birthday Andrew!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Andrew!
Tuesday was my brother Andrews Birthday, he turned 23! I seriously can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday we were bull riding in the front room and being entertained by "White Trash" (sibling joke).
We went to dinner at Market Street with the Fam and Andrews friends Ronnie and Mark joined us. I had the most delicious steak just so you know, next time you go to Market Street get the Filet Mignon trust me.
I always LOVE going to dinner with my family they are so fun! Thanks for the good eats Mom and Dad!
Happy Birthday Andrew I love you and hope you have an amazing and blessed 23rd year of your life.
Andrew, Mark, and Ronnie

Rented Shoes...

Saturday Night Calogero and I did some Bowling! I truly enjoy bowling I don't know if it's putting your feet where so many have been before, wishing for a lucky strike while my ball rolls down the lane, or is it the never failing and always interesting people watching.
I surprised myself on Saturday and didn't totally suck so it was a good night. Actually I almost beat Shane and Calogero so I can't be to hard on myself.
Well if anyone is interested in some bowling let me know I would love to throw around a 9 pound ball with you!
Calogero prepping for the big game. Doesn't he look confident.

The Man in action! Seriously though he is pretty good.

Just doing some posing for the blog.

Dinner and Some Donavon

Calogero, Shane, Ashlee, and I decided to start the week off right with some dinner at P.F. Changs and the Donavon Frakenreiter concert last night. I rarely look forward to Mondays but these plans changed my Monday Mood, I should do this more often.
At Changs Calogero and I ordered to much food and ate almost all of it, yummy. I can't help it but when I go there I just want a bite of everything from Salt and Pepper Prawns (if you haven't tried them you MUST) to Garlic Noodles. We ate, enjoyed, laughed, and of course had nothing but proper adult dinner convo (I actually don't know if that has ever happened).
On our way over to the Depot I made Calogero stop at Ben's Cookies because a trip downtown doesn't seem complete without my favorite treat! I LOVE those cookies (Rhyming?)
I love going to shows at the Depot one of my favorite spots next to Usana. Donavon was really great and I enjoyed about 65% of his opener Gary something? There was the guy standing in front of us that had some hip shaking head swaying moves I could not take my eyes off of. I loved it, if only I had taken a video with my phone we could have all enjoyed his sweet, sweet moves.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Brown and Mr. Ricotta for an Exquisite evening I can't wait to do it again!

Not Much Going On and Twitter!

I have not done much blogging lately sorry... it's just there hasn't been much going on with me and I haven't taken many pics lately either. I went to this awesome conference a little over a week ago Relentless 09. God did awesome things there I was so glad to be able to attend. I'm just getting over the flu it took over a week! I can't believe how sick people have been this year it seems like every time I turn around someone I know has got something.
Happy Birthday to Shane who turned 26 on March 1st, sorry I'm a little late.
Also I added the Twitter application to my blog a few weeks ago and I love it, it really is so fun. So check it out on the right hand side of my blog folks.
Well I hope to have more things to blog about coming up in the future. Wish me luck on finding some fun things to do.

Question?

So I have put a new background onto my blog and as you can see it is not fitting the border is getting cut off. Since my computer skills are very poor I need a little help can anyone tell me how to adjust the background to fit? Sorry I am so lame.
Thank you!

Snowy Sunday

On Sunday Calogero, Shane, Ashlee, and I went up to Shane's wonderful Mother Judi's cabin. It started out as a warm day and turned into a beautifully snow one up in Lambs Canyon. We went up there for a Fiesta and the food was sooo good! Judi made these homemade southwest egg rolls and chili verde that I am dreaming about.

We usually always sled when we head up there but the poor sled only had 4 good runs left in her and then she "cracked" under the pressure.
It is always a treat to go up there thank you Brown Family (aka Shane and Ash) for inviting us.
