Happy 85th Birthday Grandpa!

My Grandpa turned 85 on October 10th Happy Birthday Grandpa I love you!

Weekend at the Cabin!

Yes I know another post about going to Jennies Cabin sorry but hey I was there too and I must share a little. Well let me start out with a HUGE THANK YOU Jen, Buddy, and Claire for hosting such a fun weekend with endless amounts of yummy food and nothing but FUN! (Gentri I love your color filled posts so I am stealing the cuteness hope that's ok?) On a side note: One thing I felt so bad about was the dinner planned for Saturday night that Melanie and Brooke planned and purchased the food for and they were not able to make sorry ladies I know it would have tasted yummy, I just had to add that. Now back to the Cabin. Jennie, Carly, Melanie and I took a fun night ride to meet Brooke and Adam down at the bottom here are some pics of our scary back-out. I get the giggles when I get scared or excited for some reason so with Jennie driving all four of us one four wheeler down the mountain you bet I had the giggles! That night we played a few games and I still laugh when I think about Adams Jesse James comment during catch phrase and how hard it was for everyone to understand the concept of Mafia, sorry Calogero. And only about six people will get this comment but the sheets incident still makes me laugh! When we woke up the next morning we were greeted by some beautifull snow I was actually happy it snowed. (me the girl who hates winter) It was fun to play in the snow and it made our four wheeler ride beautiful! Tami, Brooke, and I were all on one four wheeler for the ride and all I can say is THANK YOU BROOKE for holding onto me. We took some steep hills that Tam handled with ease of course. Just to let everyone know Tami is the best darn driver! Calogero and I couldn't resist taking a photo with our room mate (wait is that one word?) isn't he cute? Well thank you for a fun weekend folks I can't wait to do it again. Here are just a few more pics from the weekend:
Well I had the best time and loved the company I can't wait to do it again. I missed all of you who were not there!

Royal Family Kids Camp and Club Fundraiser

Sorry for the double posting in one day I just haven't posted forever. Royal Family Kids Camp and now coming November 2008 Kids Club had its yearly fundraiser that was hosted this year by LaCaille. As most of you know I have been involved in this kids camp for Utah Foster Kids for 10 years now and am now becoming the Director along with my best friend Krystal Bodell of the new Mentoring program that we are starting this November. We have been waiting for an opportunity to reach these kids outside of our one week of camp and with the blessing of social services we are starting Royal Friends Club this year; a one on one mentoring program for the kids from camp and their counselors. I am so excited to get this program started it has been a long time coming. The food was yummy (they had these cool looking pasteries that were shaped like swans for dessert that Krystal is modeling for you) and company was great! Thank you LaCaille and all the wonderfull men and women who put this fundraiser together it was great! If anyone knows any companies or corporations that would like to donate to this non-profit organization let me know we still have not met our goal for the 2008-2009 year of mentoring and week of camp for these kids. We had 34 kids at our camp this year and are hoping to be able to invite 50 next year, and for our pilot year of the kids club we are inviting 15 kids to participate and we only want those numbers to increase as the years go on.
God Bless and Much Love

Utes Game!

Calogero and I went to the Utes game on Thursday when they played Oregon State it was so fun! For some reason football on the telly does not rank number one thing for me to watch, but going to games is one of my favorite things. The cool air, the lights, hot dogs, giving high-fives to stangers, and yelling at the players as if they can hear and would truely take your advice. We spent most of our time agonizing over the horrible offense and I was wanting for them to win so bad it kind of hurt (who knew I was so sensitive about sports? Just kidding) Last few minutes of the game were nail bitting I hope for your sake if you are a Utes fan and you freaking better be that you watched this game on t.v. well at least the end. Utes won in the last 2 seconds with a field goal by in my opinion the team MVP Sakoda. Final score Oregon State 28 Utah 31. Sorry for the lack of pictures I left my camera at home on accident total rookie mistake I know. Thank you babe for taking me to the game I had a blast!

CALIFORNIA

Two posts in one day it must be a slow day at work. This weekend my friend Krystal and I went to California for work and play. We had to go there for a weekend training for the mentoring program we are starting for utah foster children. (A little background info: we have been involved with a summer camp Royal Family Kids Camp for foster children for about 10 years and this mentoring program is an extention of the camp we have been selected to be the directors of this program and are so excited to get it up and going) Since we share the same birthday we decided to also turn this into a celebration weekend for us filled with shopping at one of our favorite malls South Coast Plaza, dinner at Claim Jumper and a trip to the beach. It was a really nice getaway. In between our classes we snuck in some fun. At claim jumper I told Krystal we totally tried to eat like men we went all out and left barely able to freakin walk! This picture does not do it justice but that biscuit was HUGE and delicious. On our last night we headed over to Newport Beach and hung out by the water for awhile and then ate at Ruby's on the end of the peir. We sat on the top of restaurant and watched people fish off of the peir it was fun! Thanks for the fun weekend Krissy I always have so much fun with you. You made laugh non-stop and let me talk non-stop and I loved it thanks. I am so excited to start this program with you it is going to be a lot of hard work but so worth it! Love Ya!

I Love Birthdays!

Yeah! I LOVE Birthdays! I just turned 24 on September 11th I can't believe I am 24 man does time fly! I had an awesome Birthday Week (you should always celebrate in "week style" especially as you get older it is just way more fun) Calogero and I actually give each other Birthday Months; for one month you get to make the decisions for pretty much everything. Where to eat, what to watch on t.v., which movie to rent, who has to turn the lights out it is the greatest I would suggest it to all! Calogero made me an awesome dinner on Monday, I had an great Birthday lunch with my work at Romas on Wednesday, dinner with Shane and Ashlee on Thursday at Texas Roadhouse (I LOVE Steak just to let ya know) We had a lot of fun, but I always have tons of fun with these two! Thank you Shane and Ashlee for a fun night and I loved my card and gift! They got me the cutest / yummiest card ever. It was a Mrs. Fields Cookie Card. On Thursday the actual B-Day took place and it was so nice. I got a fun surprise from my brother Matthew at work he brought me a huge balloon bouquet with the cutest turtle and the sweetest card thank you buddy. Then I went to my Grandpas house with my family and opened presents. We did a progressive dinner. Dinner at P.F. Changs and dessert at the Cheesecake Factory it was so good! Here are some fun Pics.

Calogero got me a bunch of great stuff but I am so excited for the Jason Mraz tickets he got me I love me some Mraz! Thanks Babe! I had the greatest Birthday this year thank you soooo much Calogero, Mom, Dad, Andrew, Grandpa and Matthew! I seriously felt so loved and special on my birthday thank you to everyone who called, texted or emailed me a birthday wish it means a lot.
I would like to send out a special Happy Birthday wish to Brooke and Krystal I hope your day was awesome and filled with fun and much love! I love ya Happy Birthday!

LAGOON!

Ok so I have not been to Lagoon since like middle school and I have been really wanting to check it out lately especially since I heard there were a bunch of new rides. Well I went to Lagoon this Saturday with Ashlee as her stand in husband for a work party and I was not disapointed. We had a blast! We got there around Noon and rode almost everything by 2:00, well you see we had this plan to stick around till dark so could ride everything at night too. We thought we wouldn't make it but little did we know that if you have a friend that loves riding the same rides 5 or more times over and over again you can make it to almost close at Lagoon! (Sorry I had to steal pictures from Lagoons website to spice up this post because I was way to lazy to carry my camera around all day.) Anyway if you go to Lagoon anytime soon I would like to suggest the space scrambler it is a simple ride that makes me laugh hysterically the whole time. I would ride it like 20 times if I could but 5 was the max we hit. Also they have a new ride the Spider, way fun too. Anyway Lagoon was a BLAST and I would totally go again so let me know if you need a ride buddy! Ashlee thank you for taking me I had soooo much fun with you. Also I have to say I was pretty brave for most of the day sorry about the one solo ride you had to take. (For some reason when I was younger I was fearless but as I have been getting older the wuss has been coming out in me, but I am working on it building back up my bravery. Has this happened to anyone else?) I would be honored to be your stand in husband anytime! Much Love!
